Napoleon Noel Nadeau was born December 25, 1889 in Marinette, Wisconsin. Following his graduation from Marinette High School, he attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison for three years where he studied and worked as a photographer. He was then employed by the Hibbard Studio in Minneapolis for seven years before opening his own photographic studio.
